Tools to help you?

What can we build around our teaching to help you to develop a discipline in some of these areas?

Bible reading plans to follow together for a while?
Prayer Guide/Diary?
Bible Study outlines on a theme?
A cookery book for fasting?

  1. I would find the regular production of a menu of items for prayer for people or issues within the church helpful. I try to pray regulary for aspects of church life but more specific guidance on current issues would be helpful. Also wider issues for prayer for the NF family of churches, for example the interim aim of 400 churches in the UK seems (to me) just to have leaked out without being announced or encouraged as a specific pryaer goal. To be useful, however, such lists would need to be regularly updated and that is a non-trivial task.

  2. I would use online tools as much as possible. For instance:
Google Docs to create a Bible guide that people could then use for study. They could then be allowed to post thoughts back to the docs.
Google Calendar could be used to remind people daily items to study.
There are other tools for collaboration etc.
Alternatively I have asked you to contact me via the churches email address. Take a look at this site:

It is a site that I have wanted to develop for sometime. It is a sort of Facebook idea that we could use to develop a resource for the church. It allows multiple users and multiple groups.
For instance, I have created a group called 'Prayer'. Members interested in inspiring and offering help could become members of the group and duly comment with blog posts, etc.
What do you think please? Jeremy or Liam has my details - give me a shout please.
    Thanks
